Embodiment + Esoteric Mentorship
Gerry offers group programmes, 1:1 coaching/mentoring, online programmes, group retreats and 1:1 retreats. These services are designed to promote personal development and are grounded in Somatic Spiritual Perspective, incorporating elements such as energetic tending, ritual, focusing, meditative states and relational coaching. All services and communication, delivered by myself, Gerry Polland operating under Somatic Devotion, as well as information included online are intended to assist you in identifying and navigating the pathways of your own personal evolution.
The following terms and conditions govern all services provided by Gerry Polland + Somatic Devotion. By accessing, purchasing, or engaging with any services, whether in person or online, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Your continued use of services signifies your acceptance of these Terms.
You may request a refund within five days of purchasing any product/service. Refund requests must be made in writing to [email protected] + will be assessed case by case.
In exceptional circumstances, such as illness/bereavement, inappropriate behaviour by the client, actual or potential conflict of interest, or other reasons, Gerry can decide to terminate the service to the client early. In such a circumstance, the client will be given reasonable notice of termination and will be refunded any advance payments made for sessions not yet provided.
In the case of voluntarily withdrawals or no-shows, refunds will not be offered. Refunds are possible in cases where your space is filled by someone else — you are also able to transfer the space to a friend.
Please note: refunds will not be applied under any circumstances other than in instances where your space is filled once the retreat is at capacity. Then a refund will be applied less any charges incurred and a £200 admin fee.
Travel insurance is recommended for international guests to cover any issues that may prevent travel to the retreat or expenses incurred while overseas. We are unable to offer refunds or transfers if you cannot attend the retreat due to natural circumstances such as weather or road conditions. The retreat will proceed for those who can attend, and all associated costs (rent, staff, food, etc) will still need to be covered.
All retreats are premised upon somatic intelligence and a high degree of intuition; in light of this, there may be changes to the program outline and or any allies due to seasonal or spirit-led guidance. At all times, Gerry has the right to say no to the offering of certain medicines, practices or processes within the retreat space if, in her expertise, she feels it is unsuitable for the participant or the whole group.
If we are forced to change the retreat dates or cancel a retreat due to circumstances within our control, you may choose to transfer to another retreat or receive a full refund. If the retreat is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, such as an act of God or changes in national regulations, weather conditions etc a refund cannot be offered.
During the retreat, photographs may be taken for promotional purposes. By attending, you agree to allow photographs of yourself to be used in Somatic Devotion's promotional materials. We will use discretion in capturing and selecting images, ensuring they are respectful and non-intrusive.
I understand that the services I will be receiving from Gerry Polland and any team/guest facilitators are not offered as a substitute for professional mental health care or medical care and are not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any mental health or medical conditions. I also understand that Gerry is not acting as a mental health counsellor or a medical professional.
I agree to disclose my medical history or previous incidences of mental illness to Gerry (including but not limited to complex trauma, psychiatric disorders, recent surgeries, pregnancy). Where applicable and upon request, I will ask for clearance from my medical or mental health professional before beginning to work with Gerry and the Somatic Devotion Team.
I understand and acknowledge that it is my responsibility to consult my primary healthcare provider or a medical doctor if I have, or suspect I may have, any health concerns. I understand and agree that I am fully responsible for my well-being before, during and after my sessions — including my choices and decisions throughout the duration of the programme and upon completion.
I understand that this work is both somatic + shamanic in nature. Within this model, there are core elements that include altered states of consciousness, energetic tending, invitations to be with touch + breath and emotional tending. I understand that all comments and ideas offered by Gerry are solely to aid me in achieving my personal evolution. I can give my informed consent and hereby give such consent to Gerry to assist me in achieving flourishing, understanding that results are entirely individual and not guaranteed.
I understand that Gerry will protect my information as confidential unless I state otherwise in writing. If I report child or elder abuse, neglect, or threaten to harm myself or someone else, I understand that necessary actions will be taken, and my confidentiality agreement will be limited in this capacity. Furthermore, if Gerry is ordered by a court to provide information or to testify, she will do so to the extent the law requires. I understand that the use of technology is not always secure, and I accept the risks of confidentiality in the use of email, text, phone, Skype, and other technology.
I understand these practices are not intended to be relied on for prescriptions, recommendations, diagnosis or treatment in relation to any health problem or disease. I understand that this is a sensitive and tender process. I will allow myself the appropriate time to explore these themes with compassion for myself. I understand that I this process will invite me into deeper relationship with all of my parts. I may open up emotional processes that require additional support. I understand that if I drop out of the programme throughout, I will still be required to pay the full amount.
All materials, content, and teachings provided by Somatic Devotion, including but not limited to written documents, digital courses, guided meditations, retreat structures, exercises, and recorded sessions, are the exclusive intellectual property of Somatic Devotion and Gerry Polland. By engaging with our services, you agree:
No Reproduction or Redistribution: You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or share any materials provided in coaching, retreats, online programs, or other services without prior written consent. This includes sharing materials with friends, family, or third parties.
No Commercial Use: You may not use Somatic Devotion's teachings, frameworks or practices for commercial purposes, such as creating derivative works, teaching similar programs, or incorporating them into your own business offerings.
Personal Use Only: All content is for your personal transformation and growth. Any unauthorized sharing, copying, or repurposing of materials will be considered a violation of copyright and may be subject to legal action.
If you wish to reference, quote, or discuss aspects of this work publicly (e.g. social media, blogs, podcasts), you must credit Somatic Devotion or Gerry Polland in some way.
I hereby release, waive, acquit, and forever discharge Gerry Polland/Somatic Devotion, any agents, successors, assigns, personal representatives, executors, heirs, and employees from every claim, suit, action, demand, or right to compensation for damages I may claim to have resulting from the professional relationship contemplated by this agreement. I further declare and represent that no promise, inducement, or agreement not expressed in this agreement has been made to me to sign this agreement. This agreement shall bind my heirs, executors, personal representatives, successors, assigns, and agents.
By participating in any of the coaching, retreats, masterclasses, online trainings, in-person programmes, or related activities offered by Gerry Polland, the Somatic Devotion Team + Guest Facilitators, you acknowledge that such activities may involve physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual exercises that carry inherent risks (by their very nature). These risks may include, but are not limited to, physical injury, illness, or medical conditions, as well as emotional and psychological challenges.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Somatic Devotion, Gerry Polland, the Somatic Devotion Team, and any Guest Facilitators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to personal injury, emotional distress, lost profits, lost data, or other damages arising from:
— Participation in any program, retreat, course, or coaching session.
— Any decisions made or actions taken by the client as a result of participating in these services.
— Delays, disruptions, or cancellations beyond our reasonable control (e.g., force majeure events such as natural disasters, government restrictions, or pandemics).
By engaging with Somatic Devotion, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for your wellbeing and agree that any experiences or transformations arising from this work are your personal responsibility. You further agree that Somatic Devotion does not guarantee any specific results and that participation in these services is at your own risk. You voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks of loss, property damage, or personal injury, including death, that may be sustained by you as a result of participating in the Programs, whether such risks are known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen.
You agree to release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Gerry Polland, the Somatic Devotion Team, Guest Facilitators, and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, successors, and assigns from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to your participation in the Programs. This includes, but is not limited to, claims arising from negligence, personal injury, illness, or property damage.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Gerry Polland, the Somatic Devotion Team, Guest Facilitators, and their representatives from any loss, liability, damage, or costs, including court costs and attorney's fees, that may result from your participation in the Programs, to the extent caused by your actions or negligence.
The Programs offered through this website are not intended to replace professional medical or psychological advice. You should consult with a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new physical, emotional, or spiritual practice, particularly if you have any pre-existing medical conditions. You are responsible for disclosing any relevant health information to the facilitators. You take full responsibility for yourself, the outcomes, and experiences ignited within any of the works undertaken.
By accessing, purchasing, or engaging with any services, in person or online, or any self-led works undertaken as part of guidance offered in any programs guided by Gerry Polland, trading under Somatic Devotion you agree to the terms outlined in this Hold Harmless Agreement. Your continued use of services signifies agreement to these terms.
